Hermès Launches Haute Bijouterie

Hermès has finally taken their accessories game to the next level with the launch of Haute Bijouterie, a 14-piece fine jewelry collection designed by Pierre Hardy:
The collection goes back to its equestrian roots, featuring jewels in the shape of horse hooves and other shapes and dimensions. About the collection, Pierre Hardy says:
“I simply went back to its roots and to the horse’s hoof, taking the roughest, strongest, almost radical element and giving it the most feminine, the most modern interpretation.”
The collection is super chic and sophisticated! But slow down, this is not something you will walk down the street and see anyone in– the price starts at $23,000 for clip-on earrings and $880,000 for the Fouet necklace (above). But you will get your money’s worth with the Fouet, which is a platinum “whip” set with 3,669 diamonds and 36.16 carats. The packaging also ups the stock, with custom-made boxes with alligator leather, and inside? A mat made of real Zebra skin. Oh don’t plan to wear it any time soon, because the wait time is anywhere from 5 to 7 months. Might as well get a Birkin bag for all of that! WHOA-NESS! *puts on “only in your dreams” list*
